Brisbane Cup

0n June 10 2023, the Brisbane Cup is bracketed with the rich Stradbroke Handicap and with the stake money so big – the Stradbroke, won last year by the charismatic Alligator Blood, is now worth a whopping $3 million – it’s sure to be popular with the top horses from both Australia and NZ. It also goes without saying that NZ trained horses will feature prominently in many of the supporting races on the day.
Rest assured we will be cheering home some popular kiwi trained horses with the likes of the Tony Pike stables, Te Akau, Shaune Ritchie, John Bary, Adrian Bull, Wexford Stables and not forgetting the NZ based powerhouses like Chris Waller and Mike Moroney etc who have had their names in lights in recent years.

I’m delighted to co-host the tour under the Sporting Tours team alongside my good mates Kel and Marilyn Munro. The numbers will be limited. It’ll be a bit like our extremely popular boutique tour to Sydney three years ago when we celebrated the mighty mare Winx in her last race at Randwick. The invitation is for you to join us. Des has been involved in racing for the past 40 years as a journalist, TV presenter and talk back host. He has escorted numerous racing tours including Japan Cup, Hong Kong Cup, Melbourne Cup and Sydney Cup

Kel is an avid horse racing fan and has escorted thousands of racing fans on Sydney Cup, Brisbane Cup and Melbourne Cup Tours.
